About me

I'm Allison Meier, a University Honors Senior in Computer Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. I plan to graduate in 2024 with both my Bachelor's and MBA through the ACCEND dual-degree program, then pursue a J.D. to better understand the legal underbelly of today's innovation.

My interests both within and outside of computer engineering follow similar patterns of purposeful divergence and self-reliance. I don't simply hope for good things to happen - I plan for them to, and then I go out and work to make them happen.

From going out on a limb and asking the CEO of my co-op company for a one-on-one meeting, to planning international expeditions on a whim, I make it a point to act rather than regret. And act I do: that meeting turned into over an hour of discussion, and those international plans are now unforgettable memories. I pride myself on my ability to take risks and either succeed, or fail upward - learning from failure and succeeding my next time around. Regardless, I approach my work with vigor, but more so with humility and dedication to learning.

I chose this path for the same reason I choose to do most things in life: I have a passion and genuine interest in it, but it also fuels a desire within me to do more. Computer fluency offers me a springboard to fantastic opportunities to bring about change in our world: whether that's creating more efficient software to better our standards of living, education and entertainment, or fine-tuning my abilities to specialize within its massive wealth of innovation and creativity.
